A needle to the soul (part two)

Euthanasia is from the Greek language meaning “good death”, in my opinion euthanasia is just a pretty of wording suicide (if the person is aware of what he or she is being ejected with). In the 17th century they didn’t OVER think euthanasia as much as they did now, to them it was an easy, painless, spiritual concept it was even a happy death to them and not such a burden to think about. However people today, have put in more thought into whether it should legalized or not.

I think euthanasia should not be legalized for a person with a terminal illness.  If euthanasia is legalized people who have brain damage who are unconscious could be put down without their own recognition, it wouldn’t be fair because they wouldn’t even have a say in whether or not they want to live.  Another reason it should be illegal is when put under a great amount of physical pain from their illness most people became depressed and don’t have the right set of mind.  Suicide  is  one of the top side effects that come from being depressed and instead of just jumping to injecting yourself with a chemical that could kill you, people with depression from their pain could take drugs that everyday people use (without an illness) to treat their depression.  Another argument to illegalize euthanasia is if patient is religious Christian, Catholic, the bible clearly states that if you chose suicide as an option to end your life, you go straight to hell.  Even though you are not personally injecting the chemical into yourself, a person is doing it for you because you don’t know how to which the same thing as suicide. Like I said before if a person is under a great amount of pain there mind is disoriented, people  could easily forget about , Religion and the important quote : “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body."

If a person is truly in pain and doesn’t want to be a burden to their family and friends I think if worse comes worst they could put themselves down illegally, like there doing in Australia where some people sell euthanasia out of the back of their truck. Even though here in America we may not do the same exact thing, you could go see a doctor under the market and illegally be put down.

Overall, I do not think euthanasia should be legalized for all the reasons I described above. Death should be just as natural as being born, unpredicted
